Global platforms take 30–50% commission, rarely pay out to African banks, and perform poorly on low-bandwidth connections — leaving African creators without a platform built for their market.
What We Built
We architected MakersMark as a Kotlin + Spring Boot modular monolith — fully reactive with WebFlux and R2DBC, per-module Postgres schemas, and Kafka for event fan-out — with Kotlin Multiplatform clients so Android and iOS share one core against native Compose and SwiftUI UI.
